AFTERCARE ADVICE

We're so pleased you love your new Tattoo. so this is our guidelines on what we recommend for you're best possible aftercare with looking after it!

- Usually we will either use what is called a "second skin" and apply that to your new tattoo which can be left on and not touched for 3-5 days. We do not recommend leaving it on more than the 5 days.

- Try to avoid heavy work, sweating etc

- you can remove the "second skin" on the 3rd-5th day, we recommend maybe soaking it under soapy warm water while removing as it will make this easier. Once removed wash the tattoo in the warm soapy water gently and then dab dry with either kitchen roll or designated towel.

- be aware some sticky residue may be left behind but DO NOT try to forcefully remove by picking, over washing etc as this will cause possible healing issue's with the tattoo.

- You can then start to wash and moisturise your tattoo with a recommended cream/ointment for around 2 weeks after removing the second skin (can continue for longer if you wish) We recommend Yayo aftercare butter which we stock in the shop or Palmers Cocoa butter solid form or a couple of others feel free to ask us or message us.

- If we don't use "second skin" for whatever reason we will usually then apply a thin layer of our tattoo cream we used throughout the day and wrap in cling film.

- Leave this on at least until you get home but we would recommend over night as it will stop it leaking onto bedding etc and also keep the fresh tattoo clean until you can take off the cling film and rewrap the following day if you choose.

- Once cling film is removed you can then start washing with warm soapy water (using a antibacterial soap or similar is best) dabbing dry after and then applying thin layer of cream. Again we recommend Yayo Aftercare butter that we stock in the shop or we can recommend alternatives.

- repeat the washing and moisturising process for at least 2 weeks or longer if needed/desired.

- Usually this method will scab/flake over the tattoo in the healing process but you can relax, this is perfectly normal and nothing to be concerned with. avoid getting the tattoo overly wet as this will soften the flaking skin and possibly result in dragging out some of the tattooed skin that is attached.

Hopefully this helps you all a bit to bring the best out of your new tattoos!

YAYO AFTERCARE BUTTER

These are hands down one of the best aftercare creams around. Smells incredible and a little bit goes a very long way. The formula melts into the skin which spreads easily over the tattoo. We stock these in the shop in both larger or smaller tubs available at the end of your tattoo or if you want to pop by and grab some everyone is welcome.
